About My Clients
I enjoy supporting those who are seeking relief from anxiety, depression, life transitions/adjustment, grief, stress, processing trauma, parenting difficulties and building self-worth. I integrate evidence-based modalities that are tailored to your individual needs to guide my practice. I have a special interest in teens, adults, college students, BIPOC and immigrant/first generation populations. I also have specialty expertise with adoptees and adoptive parents. I strive to empower my clients.
My Background and Approach
I am passionate about helping my clients identify, normalize and process their feelings to better thrive in their daily lives. I have extensive experience working with children, teens and adults in outpatient, intensive, in-home, and school-based settings. My area of specialization is developmental trauma, particularly foster and adoptive families. I've received the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) Phase I training as well as Training for Adoption Competency (TAC) and Attachment, Regulation and Competency (ARC) Trauma Treatment for Children & Adolescents. My goal is to partner with clients on a path to emotional wellbeing that is grounded with empathy, self-awareness, validation and therapeutic rapport. I can also provide telehealth therapy to those residing in Missouri as an LCSW (license #2020004131).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a minority identifying therapist, I strive to create a safe healing space for my clients. It’s important to elevate all voices and stories, especially ones that haven’t felt heard before or that have been muted in the past. I support and advocate for causes that strive for social, economic, racial/ethnic, personal identity, religious and body autonomy justice.
