About My Clients

I work with clients who are experiencing mood, anxiety, and trauma disorders. Many of my clients have struggled alone for a long time before finally reaching out. You deserve support and healing now, and counseling can help. I specialize in working with grief due to a loss, life transition, or trauma. Grief can be one of the most overwhelming experiences we face- counseling can help those who are grieving navigate through the complexities and challenges of life after loss or trauma.

My Background and Approach

As a counselor, it is my goal to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to process your experiences, learn new skills to support better mental health, and begin taking steps towards creating the life you want for yourself. I work from an integrative framework that draws from Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. I tailor my approach to your individual needs so that I can meet you where you are and provide effective, individualized counseling that can address a wide variety of issues including anxiety, depression, and trauma. I have specialized training in IFS and ACT. I am a certified Grief Counseling Specialist as well as a certified Grief Recovery Method Specialist, an evidence-based method to support clients who are grieving.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone is inherently resilient, and counseling can help put you in touch with your innate abilities to survive and thrive. The challenges that we encounter in our lives can sometimes feel overwhelming or impossible to move through. I believe whole-heartedly in the power of counseling. Learning new skills that you can incorporate into your daily life can radically reduce uncomfortable symptoms, and digging a little deeper can help resolve the issue at its root. Other challenges, such as grief, are not disorders but experiences that need to be witnessed and tended. In those times, the shared humanity and the willingness to be truly seen provides the most healing. I know that allowing yourself to really be seen and heard can feel very vulnerable, no matter why you're seeking counseling. I hold deep regard and respect for my clients and their bravery in reaching out for help. If you would like to learn more about how we could work together, call or email me today!
