It can be strange to imagine sitting in front of a stranger, when the idea is that you will open up to them about deeply personal elements of your life. I get it. I will not let you sit in awkward silence. We will work together to build rapport and process your life experiences in a manner that is comfortable and empowering to you.
My approach to therapy begins with acknowledging elements of your life that are outside of your control. These can be internal experiences (anxiety, depression, etc.) or external experiences (relationship issues, traumatic experiences, etc.). Processing these experiences provides you with the opportunity to tell the story of your life, apart from the judgments of others.
Once we acknowledge what we cannot control, we have the opportunity to enact change within the things that we can. Together, we build sustainable confidence and the ability to reach the goals that you deserve to achieve.
