We have additional training working with the transgender/ gender non-conforming community around couple and family acceptance and understanding through the transition process. In addition, we can work with individuals as they progress through their transition process and reach their more authentic selves. We provide letters for hormone therapy and gender affirmation surgery. We also work with queer couples and BIPOC queer individuals and couples with an affirmative approach.

We utilize an integration of theories including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Mindfulness techniques to help tackle anxiety and decrease your symptoms. Through increasing on cognitive and behavioral coping skills, you will feel more in control of your anxiety and stress.

We help clients who are stuck or processing various life transitions including: becoming parents, marriage, moving in together, job loss or change, bereavement, empty nest syndrome, retirement or caregiver stress, etc.

We attempt to help clients connect with their emotions and learn to verbalize them in the here and now as we work through processing identified reasons for seeking treatment.

We utilize CBT methods with most clients to help strengthen client coping skills and make connections for clients in their thoughts and behaviors and how those can impact your emotional wellbeing.

We view most cases from an attachment framework. As attachment therapists, we work to establish the secure base from which our clients can feel safe to grow and develop. We provide structure and expectation and support along the way.

Our therapists utilize research supported techniques drawn from the top theories utilized in the field - Gottman Relational Approach and Emotionally Focused Therapy - to help increase your communication techniques and decrease tension in your relationship. Through bond building and repair work, your relationship will grow into a new healthier union.

Through utilizing the Gottman Method, you will learn tools to help decrease escalation of arguments and increase effective communication between you and your partner. You will learn to process past fights and make changes to your communication patterns as well as help build the connection and trust in your relationship.
