About My Clients

With kindness and understanding paramount, I support adults and kids between 4-9 years old struggling with emotions that accompany change and loss, managing anxiety and processing trauma. I have extensive experience working with clients who are rebuilding after personal and/or professional burnout. I also offer EMDR therapy and incorporate easy and gentle mindfulness techniques that support clients as they process, turn down the volume on and integrate upsetting and traumatic experiences.

My Background and Approach

I work with my clients using talk therapy, EMDR therapy, parts work and mindfulness, depending on my client's preferences and goals. I understand you may be unclear about what these terms mean in regards to our work together. Please reach out! I'm always happy to share more about my therapeutic style. Many clients are seeking balance in life. Taking any step toward ease, no matter how small, can result in feelings of empowerment and peace. I’ll partner with you as you create your path.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Loss has a way of isolating a person from others. You may feel pressure to be doing better than you are, or to be further along an arbitrary timeline. Well-intentioned comments that don’t meet you where you are can leave you feeling even more alone. A common misconception is thinking that to move forward we just have to jump back into normal life. But the fear of getting stuck in grief can keep us from allowing ourselves to sit with it. Allowing keeps us open to the resources we need to learn to cope with and manage our pain. It can feel messy at times, but when we learn to be ok with the mess, the pressure to be at a certain point in our journey will lessen. Grief, worry and sadness are a part of life. So are happiness, peace and gratitude. Wherever you are, moment to moment, during our sessions you'll have the space to be with your feelings. We’ll explore coping strategies and self-care in a way that works for you. I will always respect your values and therapy goals.
