About My Clients
The most important thing about starting this relationship is the "vibe" and connection. Maybe you’re new to this or maybe your old Therapist talked about themselves, tried to relate (and failed), judged you, or gave you unwanted advice. Either way, this is YOUR journey in growth, healing, & dealing with change. Therapy is a space to be YOURSELF, laugh, cry, & use colorful language (@%#!) and discover your strengths. So let's find the "vibe", and from there, develop the tools you need to heal.
My Background and Approach
There is no quick fix to life’s challenges and barriers. I don’t pretend that there is a magic wand that corrects life’s problems (although I wish it did exist). I help my clients rediscover their strengths and abilities and provide coping skills that are most useful when alleviating anxiety and depression. I use an eclectic approach to therapy including CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused and Humanistic Approach and am trained to help you cope with life's most difficult challenges.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy can help you learn new coping skills, set boundaries and improve communication that will help change how you engage with yourself & others, and how you move through the world. You can fully show up, break down, and rebuild yourself here. Therapy doesn’t have to be all bad memories and full of tears. There are many good moments were I share laughs with my clients and revel in their successes. I believe humor can be a great way to connect and process life’s difficult changes.
