About My Clients

Are you looking to get back to the authentic you? Tired of doubting yourself and your own reality? Did you have to conform because you've felt isolated and alone growing up? I am a neurodiversity affirming therapist who specializes in complex trauma including identity, domestic, and other forms of trauma and marginalization. Understanding the dynamics of power and control, I am a compassionate, strengths based therapist ready to offer bottom up modailties to aid in post traumatic healing.

My Background and Approach

I received an Advanced Trauma Certificate from Lisa Ferentz, owner of the Ferentz Institute in Pikesville, MD. I trained in EMDR, the Flash Technique, FAN certified. I bring over 15 years of experience working in the area of early child development and attachment, and served the most vulnerable in Montgomery County’s Rockville’s District Court. For the last 5 years, my work has focused on survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault. My areas of clinical specialty include complex PTSD, domestic violence, sexual abuse, anxiety and depression, identity issues, codependence, attachment and developmental trauma, relationship issues, diversity and inclusion, neurodivergence, and emotional dysregulation. I use the the following clinical approaches in additiom to others: Trauma-informed therapy • EMDR therapy • Parts work (Internal Family Systems) • Psychodynamic and attachment-based therapy • Flash Technique (Advanced) • Art, music, movement as therapeutic tools

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that all human beings have inherent worth. Additionally, that we are all wired for connection, and the way we seek and ask for it may look different depending on cirumstance, upbringing, attachment, communication style, ect. Suicidal ideation is a topic that I invite my clients to discuss openly. I am BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and neurodiversity affirming and friendly! Cultural humility is a virtue that I strive for and live by. When I am not engaged in a new home improvement project, I enjoy gardening, watching one of my favorite livestreamers, riding bicycles with my kids, skimming the leaves off the pool in the summer (try it! It's super relaxing), and sitting by the ocean listening to the waves crash.
