About My Clients
I enjoy working with adults (18+) and couples who are curious and open.
My Background and Approach
I prioritize taking time to create a safe space tailored to each client’s needs. I take a collaborative, relational, culturally sensitive & trauma-informed approach. I like to weave in humor, mindfulness & somatic exercises. My clinical training and experiences include queer affirmative therapy, depth psychology, eating disorder treatment, & somatic therapies.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I consider each client’s early environments as important contexts to inform our work, including systemic privileges or oppressions, racial, ethnic, cultural & gender identities and I consider & explore how my privileges may affect my clients. Through my training with somatic therapies, I’ve learned how important it is to be in touch with our nervous systems; oftentimes our bodies know what we need or what’s upsetting us before our brains. Before becoming a therapist, I worked & volunteered for a wide range of professions and industries spanning from public & charter schools, Crisis Text Line (a text-based suicide hotline) technology, non-profit organizations, & the arts.
