About My Clients
Some issues I specialize in addressing are anxiety, relationship issues, and insomnia. I also work specifically with those who are sensitive to their environments or individuals who are questioning their sexuality, gender and/or identity.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Master of Arts degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling and have additional education and training in mindful-somatic therapy, psychospiritual counseling approaches, and transpersonal psychology. My orientation towards existential and humanistic theories and my experience facilitating deepening the imagination reflect my focus on developing each client’s own path toward wholeness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
If the world is, as I believe, animate and interconnected, then we cannot create health and well being for humans without doing the same for the natural world, and vice versa. It is in wilderness where I explore grief, loss, joy, and my purpose for being. Although wilderness is commonly understood as “nature” or anything untouched by humans, wilderness also includes the human being’s innate wildness.
