Individuals who experience an increase in sensory and emotional stimuli could have characteristics such as high creativity, innovation or empathy. These gifts can also come with unique challenges that I address from a multifaceted mind-body approach.
I have training in the facilitation of deep imagery from the Animas Valley Institute.
I completed training in Hakomi Mindful Somatic Therapy with Mindful Experiential Therapy Approaches (M.E.T.A.) at the Hakomi Institute of Oregon. I highly value Hakomi's approach to processing trauma, attachment wounds and other sources of stuckness. Hakomi's efficacy rests on the therapist's attunement to the client and the continued refinement of their art of counseling.
My personal focus on studying and practicing eastern philosophies, specifically those pertaining to the subtle body, has informed my counseling practice to integrate energy tracking and transformation. I have studied in person with Anodea Judith, an expert on chakras and healing energy systems. I have explored a variety of energy healing modalities including Reiki and Pranic healing and practice my own mind-body techniques to process emotional, physical and spiritual energy.
