About My Clients

My ideal client would be a motivated, thoughtful, and creative person who is driven to make a change. I work with clients with a variety of treatment issues, but anxiety, PTSD, vicarious trauma, and young adult issues are my main areas of focus. I lmove towards change in a way where you feel like our time is both emotionally valuable and fun.

My Background and Approach

I completed my graduate education here in Portland at Lewis and Clark College and have since worked in residential care, community mental health, and our county's schools. I am comfortable working with clients who have high mental health needs as well as those who are higher functioning. I frequently work with care providers or professionals experiencing burn out or a need for extra support. As a student, I focused on research around sexual health and open relationships/polyamory. Prior to my graduate program, I worked as a psychology instructor for middle and high school students and worked for years providing support to low-income first generation college-bound students as a part of a federal TRIO program. My goal as a therapist is to push you to gain the skills and confidence you need to live a happier and healthier life!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a mental health advocate and work to fight mental health stigma both personally and professionally! I am an LGBTQ affirming human being and am constantly educating myself around kink, polyamory, and sex work in order to be a better clinician for sex-positive folx. In my personal life, I am a left leaning progressive, a huge advocate for animals and for our environment. I love hiking and spending time with my partner, my two cats, and my dog, Feist (who you might meet over the course of therapy!). I aim to bring therapy into the 21st century in any way I can!
