I have specific education and expertise working with the LGBTQIA+ population as well as open/poly individuals, couples, or polycules. My graduate research focused on non-normative sexuality and relationship dynamics. I am always learning more about how to best support the kink, sex positive, and sworker communities.
I work with adopted and foster children, teens, and adults. I am an adoptee myself and have specialized training to serve this community from my participation in Portland State University's Foster and Adoption Therapy Certificate Program.
I utilize an exposure and response prevention model (ERP) to help my clients manage feelings of panic related to anxiety, PTSD, or OCD.
Exposure therapy is considered the most evidence based treatment for anxiety and OCD. I utilize this approach with those experiencing a phobia, generalized anxiety, PTSD, or obsessive thought patterns.
Our relationship with our selves and others begins with our experience of attachment to our caregivers. Attachment is a huge part of our behaviors in relationship with everyone in our lives- our partners, children, parents, families, and friends.
I was trained in expressive arts through my graduate program and enjoy using drawing, painting, sand tray, play therapy, and drama therapy to help support your growth. Let me know what your interests are and we\'ll find a way to incorporate it into your treatment plan!
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy works strategically to help you identify your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and how they all interact to create your internal world.
I was trained with a family systems lens and am always considering complex dynamics as well as intergenerational trauma in my work with all clients- whether you come along with you family or as an individual. I also work with adopted and foster children, teens, and adults. I am an adoptee myself and have specialized training to serve this community from my participation in Portland State University's Foster and Adoption Therapy Certificate Program.
I work alongside survivors of trauma and abuse frequently in my practice of therapy. I use a trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy lens and Narrative Therapy in order to help you re-story your experience.
Anxiety is one of our biggest afflictions as a society. I frequently work with clients with anxiety, panic, OCD, and PTSD. I use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach and pull from exposure and response prevention (ERP) to help you learn skills to manage these intensely uncomfortable experiences.
