About My Clients

I provide individual & couples therapy for those struggling with the following issues: trauma related disorders, anxiety & depression, grief, burnout & stress, pelvic/sexual pain, low sexual desire, infertility, postpartum & maternal mental health, life adjustments, immigrant mental health, communication issues, self-esteem issues, lack of sexual pleasure, male and female sexual disorders.

My Background and Approach

I earned my master's in marriage and family therapy from Drexel University and I work with individuals and couples with a range of sexual disorders, trauma related disorders, anxiety and depression. I use evidence-based techniques like Gottman Method, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy & Emotionally Focused Therapy. As a professional who moved to the United States in 2016, I love working with a diverse population. Diversity in age, culture, religion, race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, and sexual orientation allows me to create unique treatment goals to meet the needs of everyone in therapy. Overall, my approach is inclusive, systemic, culturally sensitive, and trauma informed. It takes courage to go to therapy. I appreciate the time that you invest in yourself and your relationships and value your openness and honesty. I understand the importance of having healthy relationships in our lives, and I build a safe relationship with you by honoring your expectations from therapy.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe one of the main reason we develop a mental heath issue is because there is an unmet need in relationships. The universal needs such as feeling belonged, loved, cared, accepted, seen, heard and safe are often not met and leave us unsatisfied in our lives. Whether this unmet need occurs in our relationship with our partner, parents, children, friends, coworker, boss or yourself; my job is to help you explore what your needs are and how you can assertively communicate through expressing them. Keep in mind that you deserve better because you are important & what you may see as a character flaw, can be a huge asset & whatever is learned can be unlearned. I believe that everyone can change and grow at anytime in their lives, but identifying the reasons why we need to change and what this change should look like are crucial. My sociology background and systemic training also allow me to work with you to identify your needs from your institutions & communities & society & culture.
