About My Clients
I focus on providing LGBTQ+ affirming services to both children and adults so that all humans can feel safe and embrace their unique selves within the security of our sessions. I believe in the value of therapy for all ages and feel that it is never too early or late to improve emotional and mental well-being. For those reasons, I work to tailor therapeutic interventions to best fit the clients I serve – whether they are children, adults, families, or groups.
My Background and Approach
My approach to the therapeutic process offers a client-centered focus encouraging you to work towards identified goals and interests within a safe, non-judgmental environment. I completed both my Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work – Trauma Informed Specialization at the University of Northern Iowa (Cedar Falls, IA). Throughout my undergraduate work, I also completed certificates in both Conflict Resolution and Child Welfare.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
A majority of my education, research, and work has focused on benefiting the well-being of children, families, and women. I have worked clinically with each sub-group, and also provided services to survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking prior to becoming a psychotherapist. I am dedicated to continuing my education to better fit the needs of my community and individuals that I serve.
