About My Clients
I am experienced in working with individuals across all ages. I have a wide array of experience working with neurodiverse peoples; peoples with physical and/or cognitive disabilities; peoples experiencing anxiety and/or depression; and peoples processing grief and trauma. I have a passion and specialized experience in working with peoples with Autism Spectrum Disorder, spinal cord injuries, and peoples impacted by gun violence.
My Background and Approach
Your goals for therapy, culture, life experiences, and abilities all inform how I work with you. I provide guided breath work, reflection, and concrete strategies to integrate into your life outside of the therapy space. I practice from a client-centered, trauma informed care, harm reduction, and feminist lens. If you are interested in art therapy, I offer creative prompts, material exploration, and structured projects based on your interests and experience that encourage relaxation and reflection as well as build social and relational skills, ultimately working towards your therapy goals. I also specialize in adaptive arts to support increased access to art making for peoples with disabilities. Whether your goal is to help heal trauma, adjust to changes, build skills to manage your mental health, or to live more authentically and empowered, my goal is to support your journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an antiracist, LGBTQIA affirming, social justice advocate, and BIPOC ally. I find community activism to be most beautiful in shared garden spaces, during group art making, and through a shared meal. I am also passionate about recreating spaces and experiences to be accessible and safe to all peoples. By removing barriers to access, we can increase equity and have space to thrive.
