In life, we encounter problems that are up to us to solve. This type of therapy is used to shift the focus from the problems you face to the solutions available to you. So much of life's challenges are opportunities to learn and grow, but if we get caught up in the problem, it becomes difficult to even notice what lay on the other side.
When are you truly present? For most of us, it's pretty rare. Our minds are in different times and places, far away from our bodies. This type of therapy uses mindfulness training to create a present, non-judgemental state in our minds that will allow us to take life as it comes. It's helpful for teens and young adults who often feel stress and anxiety.
