About My Clients
I became a psychotherapist because I enjoy listening and talking with interesting people who wanted to learn and work on being the best of themself. I think every day should start with asking myself- what brings me joy and can I squeeze in a little of that joy in today.
My Background and Approach
I appreciate counseling time spent with multiple family members in the room [family systems counseling] but I also enjoy talking one-on-one with an adolescent or adult. I think COVID19 is scary, crazy and something we should be worried about. I also know that whether you live by the beach, a horse farm in Ocala, major industrialized densely populated city like Miami or rural areas along the Suwannee river- we are Florida Strong. As a graduate in Family Counseling from the University of Florida ((go gators 🐊)) and practicing since 1995- I appreciate in counseling getting to know each child and adult with the special things YOU bring to counseling. I enjoy the conversation and Floridians need to talk.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I like the everchanging ideas of ourselves and how our interpretation of ourselves and our lives changes over the years. I have often had the conversation in my head- what would it be like to talk to Erika at age 5, 10, 30 with the knowledge, patience and motivation I have today.
