Heal old wounds and move on. You can share things in therapy that can't be shared with your usual supports. I will help you identify where unhealthy coping came from, reduce the shame and get on with life. I am a compassionate listener but also an active collaborator so you can form better strategies and practice and reinforce healthier ways to cope.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I do what I do because it was a therapist and circles of strangers that saved my life. The individual therapy was critical. The support from groups kept it going. Other people oddly seemed to be experiencing what I was when I thought I was alone in all of it. Living a life of recovery from everything is a lot of work but it's well worth it.
