About My Clients

I have a passion with working with children and adolescents and their families. I work with many teenagers who experience issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, or risky behaviors at school or at home and have been able to create better understanding between them and their parent/guardian. I also work with children, as young as infancy, who have experienced trauma and help them and their caretaker heal from any trauma they may have experienced. I look forward to working with you!

My Background and Approach

My goal is to improve the lives of children and families and create positive future outcomes. I have worked extensively with trauma due to loss of a loved one, domestic violence, and the child welfare system. I work with all of my clients through an attachment-focused and person-centered approach. I have training in various modalities that I have used to inform my practice, including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Functional Family Therapy (FFT). For young children, I have training in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and maintain a relational focus when working with families. We are a team who can work together to better your life and the lives of your family members.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I create a safe and welcoming space for all of my clients. I am a native New Yorker who prioritizes multicultural counseling and competency. I have worked in child welfare and actively worked to challenge racial disparities within the flawed system. I am always eager to educate myself on issues that differ from my personal experiences. My passion in working with children stems from my experience with suicidal ideation as an adolescent, which was mended by my own therapy. You can overcome your trauma and, for caregivers of younger children, you can prevent them from experiencing any prolonged trauma symptoms after a stressful experience. I am very vocal about suicide prevention and speaking the unspeakable.
