About My Clients
I believe one of the bravest things you can do is understand your own story. My ideal client is focused on personal growth and healing. I strive to create a safe space to process feelings and explore new ways to understand your own thoughts and emotions. You are welcome to bring all your feelings and we will unpack and process them together. I will provide a warm, person-centered, strengths-based approach tailored to your individual needs.
My Background and Approach
My goal as a therapist is to provide you the space to develop personal insight, understand how your experiences have shaped you, and develop coping skills that work for you. I have worked with clients who experience difficult life transitions, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, substance use issues, family violence, intimate partner abuse, and sexual abuse. As a yoga teacher my approach to wellness is guided by mindfulness, somatic experience, and a non-judgmental, trauma-sensitive perspective. My analogy of therapy is: I am the car, but YOU drive the car and YOU decide to turn, slow down, speed up, or stop whenever you want. My goal is that you feel seen, heard, and respected always.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe there is more than one approach to healing. My experience as a trauma-informed yoga teacher and training in Psychedelic Harm Reduction Integration Therapy provides a unique view on mental health and the mind-body-spirit connection. As a social worker, my beliefs and training are deeply rooted in Social Justice and the Person in Environment perspective. Your very personal experience as an individual on this planet guides our work together as we discover what your needs are and what works best for you.
