About My Clients
Feeling out of control or on shaky ground can be stressful! It can also be hard to take the first step towards making changes. I enjoy working with clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, stress, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and substance abuse. I also work with clients who are focusing on their own personal growth, adjusting to life transitions and struggling with unwanted behaviors or thinking patterns.
My Background and Approach
I graduated from Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School in 2018 and have my alcohol and drug counseling license. I specialize in working with clients with substance use disorders and am also working towards my LPCC license. I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and also utilize CBT, motivational interviewing and strengths based approaches. I focus on person-centered care and building an authentic, trusting, therapeutic relationship with my clients. I work towards meeting the client where they are at, help them build confidence, gain new healthy coping skills and make progress towards their treatment goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy looks different for everyone and not everyone needs the same thing. Progress, change and success also look different from person to person. At Lotus Counseling Center, we believe that lotus is a survivor. It is a symbol of enlightenment and re-birth. The lotus grows through the mud to find the sunlight and bloom.
