About My Clients
I have had the privilege of working with a multitude of individuals and families and have a wide clinical range. The last several years my practice has been dedicated to working with individuals affected by dual-diagnosis and trauma. As a clinical trauma professional, I know just how debilitating complex and single-incident trauma have on your daily life functionality. Holistic practices and a combination of cognitive processing can show a significant reduction in symptomology.
My Background and Approach
I am clinically trained in a variety of treatment techniques to aid in symptom relief using a combination of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Strength-Based Perspective, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Positive Psychology, and TFCBT. I also hold a certification in Applied Neuroscience with a focus on meditation and mindfulness. I am a board-certified supervisor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with over 10 years of experience working with children, adults, and families. I graduated from the University of Maryland with a dual Master of Social Work in Management and Community Organization and Clinical Social Work with a sub-specialization in Mental Health. My approach is warm and inviting. I would love the opportunity to work with you on your mental health journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy should be a safe place to process through all of life's challenges. I believe that developing a strong alliance and therapeutic bond is the cornerstone of initiating change.
