I have had the privilege of working with diverse client populations. Folx transitioning from homelessness, college students entering "the real world," major moves, breakups and relationship changes, walking with grief... There is a ton that comes into play with these struggles, and I commit to being present with you and walking alongside. In safety, we can address the pain and things you might not be aware of, things impacting your quality of life or within grasp to foster healing and happiness.

Perhaps the greatest commonality between a majority of clients I've seen is dealing with depression. Whether it's a one-time episode, recurrent, or the "winter blues," this disorder is close to my heart. I'd love to work with you on how to cope with this heavy matter. It affects so much of our lives--thoughts, moods, behaviors. You are not alone. Let me repeat that, you are not alone. Here's to being present with you and standing with you in solidarity.

Interpersonal therapy draws upon attachment and patterns over time, especially in terms of relationships. I love discussing attachment principles. How our bond with our primary caregiver affects our psyche and how we relate and bond with self and others. There is a profound impact on our quality of life and mental health from our attachments. We get to address the therapy relationship, as well, in interpersonal therapy, i.e., how things relate to or affect all of your relationships.

No client can be limited to experiencing one approach. We are dynamic individuals. Folx with similar burdens still may require different approaches in therapy. I love to customize treatment to the client at hand. Perhaps a combination of CBT, attachment, and Gestalt is what you need. And perhaps another person would benefit more from a shorter-term, solutions-focused approach. Let me know what you like, what's working and not working, and we can tailor therapy to your needs!

CBT is HUGE in the world of treating depression and self-esteem issues. Its success and methods are evidence-based and easy to comprehend, to dig into. We can look at the negative self-talk your mind can put you through, dissect the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors which connect. We can combat the darkness and heaviness with truth. We can find and believe the real evidence of who you are. If you don't know it already, you are a solid, incredible human being.
