About My Clients
I have experience working with many individuals and have a special interest working with high achieving adults, college aged students, elderly and their adult caregivers, foster and adoptive parents, divorcing adults, adults with perfectionist tendencies, professionals facing burnout and compassion fatigue, first responders and working professionals. I have provided presentations regarding cultural diversity, stress, parenting and self-care.
My Background and Approach
I adapt different techniques and education into your sessions, so you can recover without requiring medication should this be appropriate. I am receiving training in holistic care where we apply nutrition and education to heal mind and body. I also apply different mindfulness and relaxation skills to help reduce the impact of stress on your well-being. I incorporate intentional questions and psychoeducation to help you gain insight and awareness. Doing so, allows you to feel a sense of normal and regain power that might be robbed when experiencing difficulties.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I get what it’s like to live in a state of fear, helplessness and hopelessness. I know that a worried mind and hopeless heart, leads to restless nights, panic, and little hope for a better tomorrow. I understand that caring for yourself when you feel like your world is falling apart, can feel out of reach. I see how past wounds can continue to haunt the present moment. I recognize that getting help is not easy and it’s unfamiliar. Since I am aware of all this, I wholeheartedly applaud you for taking the first step in caring for yourself and seeking assistance. I know this therapy stuff works and because I do, I know as a team, we can get you to breakthrough your breakdown.
