About My Clients
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am experienced in working with children, adolescents, and adults. I treat a range of issues including depression, anxiety, life transitions, self-esteem & identity issues, and more. I strive to assist my clients with developing coping skills for daily life, stronger positive relationships with others, and increase client independence. I work to create a non-judgmental safe space for individuals to feel comfortable and respected.
My Background and Approach
I incorporate a variety of engaging holistic counseling approaches and psychotherapeutic methods into my sessions including: play therapy, art therapy, sand tray techniques, mindfulness, narrative therapy, and more. In addition, I am a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist for those struggling with grief and loss. I hold a Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Holy Cross and a Master’s of Eduction in Counseling from Louisiana State University. I am licensed as an LPC in Louisiana, Georgia, and South Carolina. In addition, I am a Board Certified Counselor, as well as hold memberships with the American Counseling Association (ACA), the American Counseling Association of Georgia, the Louisiana Counseling Association (LCA), the South Carolina Counseling Association, and the Counseling Academic & Professional Honor Society International Chi Sigma Iota.
