My Background and Approach

I have my Bachelor of Arts in Human Development, Minor in American Sign Language, Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, and a Certificate in Traumatology and Treatment. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. The education I have gained, along with lived experience, helps influence the work I do today and be relatable to you. I have worked with various populations thus far in my career including young adults, children, teens, older adults, unhoused community, college students, various races/ethnicities, LGBTQ+ community, clients with autism, individuals with disabilities, chronic illness, and immigrants to name a few.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I want everyone that I connect with to feel welcome in the space I create. Too many times marginalized populations are forced to feel undervalued, unwanted, and unheard. I am here to be a guiding light and provide a healthy interaction. I stand for respect of one another. I can help advocate for you to get any additional support you need. I provide a decolonized lens and continually work towards becoming aware of cultural information needed to understand your experience. I have also had my own experiences with anxiety, depression, and trauma. If you ever felt like no one sees you, I SEE YOU. Additional Fact: I support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention yearly through educating, sharing stories, donations, and events.
