About My Clients
Are you suffering from a broken heart? Did a death, divorce, or the end of a romantic relationship cause it? Or was it caused by any of the forty other losses that a person might experience such as moving, pet loss, or a change in finances? Regardless of the cause, you know how you feel and it probably isn’t good. We aren’t going to tell you, “We know how you feel,” because we don’t. Neither does anyone else. What we will do is provide a safe environment where you will be given specific tools.
My Background and Approach
Utilizing my education as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my training, and my personal experience has proven to be most effective in providing my clients with empathy and compassion, a deeper understanding of dealing with grief, and much-needed emotional support – all of which can result in a great sense of hope and healing. Seeing lives change is the greatest and most satisfying aspect of what I do. My personal journey with grief began my freshman year in college when my boyfriend was killed in an automobile accident. I regretted that I never had the chance to say goodbye. I grieved my hopes, dreams and expectations. I have had many other personal losses since then. I became a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist to help myself and others who are experiencing grief from a loss.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I remain very passionate about the topics of grief and loss, while continuing to provide education to professionals at the State NASW Conference, students, and the community. In my spare time, I enjoy swimming. and hosting international exchange students.
