About My Clients

My clients are those who are open and motivated to explore insights and to become closer aligned with their authentic self and values. Although I welcome all walks of life, I find it particularly rewarding to be able to hold space for those with marginalized identities. I have experience working with many folks who identity as being part of the LGBTQ+ and/or BIPOC communities.

My Background and Approach

My counseling style is personable but also directive when needed. I strongly believe in the natural healing that can occur within the context of a safe nonjudgmental relationship. I also use evidence-based practices from SFT, CBT, DBT, and enjoy incorporating mindfulness. I am also recently trained in EMDR.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Inclusiveness is an important part of my personal beliefs and therefore in my practice as well. I am LGBTQ affirming, believe Black Lives Matter, and social justice is an important aspect of my life both in and outside of the counseling realm. Growing up as a child of immigrants and being immersed in that community quickly shaped my views from a young age to notice those who are marginalized & it is a privilege to hold space for folks to make them feel more seen.
