I know that you want to have an amazing love story. In order to do that, you need to have a great connection with your partner. The problem is that years of ups and downs can take its toll on relationships and maybe your marriage just isn’t working, which often leaves you feeling frustrated and disconnected.
My Background and Approach
I understand how confusing and painful it can be to feel disconnected from your partner, which is why I have been helping couples for over 20 years. I am a Certified Gottman Couples Therapist & Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist and these research-based methods are the most effective in helping couples create greater intimacy and manage conflict in their relationships. I want to help you build a healthy, intimate and desire filled relationship that tells your love story for you. I believe that your marriage should do better than just survive. I believe your marriage should THRIVE!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I started private practice in 2001 in an effort to reach out to families in crisis and to create and maintain healthy, intimate relationships. Through research-based interventions and a deep compassion for couples and families, we create greater love in relationships. I completed my undergrad at Stony Brook University and my Masters at Hofstra University. Soon after, 9/11 happened and I began working with first responders and families that had lost a loved one. This experience was incredibly humbling and has created in me a deep passion for working with families in crisis. In my practice, I continue to work with couples in crisis through traditional couples therapy and couples intensives. I also really enjoy teaching and presenting The Art & Science of Love couples workshop in Asheville and Raleigh, NC. Being able to change the trajectory of a couple’s relationship in just one weekend has been incredibly rewarding.
