About My Clients

Imagine what it would be like to express your true self, where all parts of you are welcomed and respected. You would feel and assert your dignity and self worth. You would trust and listen to your instincts, feelings, and needs. You would feel safe, seen, and whole. By listening to the wisdom of the body and recovering your inherent resilience, together we can transform your trauma and the oppression you suffer into joyful aliveness and meaningful connections.

My Background and Approach

I work with adults who struggle to manage moods and those who have had significant experiences of invalidation, including experiences of trauma, violence, abuse, and neglect. I have a spirited commitment to working with survivors of sexual abuse, intimate partner violence, and structural oppression. As a queer Vietnamese refugee I understand that reclaiming a sense of safety offers a path forward. I invite clients to practice boundary setting, interpersonal communication, and coming home to their bodies.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

The powerlessness, trauma, and oppression you’ve experienced may have turned inward, triggering shame and self-hate, or making you feel lost and alone. You can heal from the wounds of trauma. You can live a meaningful, connected, and joyful life. I believe that to name our experiences as people of color and queer folks, to be seen, and to heal, are all political acts. I think healing takes place when people have the opportunity to express their true selves. Together we can build a therapeutic relationship on the foundation of safety, trust, compassion, and authenticity. When I'm not supporting the healing of my communities, I enjoys running, reading poetry, listening to podcasts, and going on hikes. I love traveling and seeing the world in conscious, intentional ways. Meditation, mindfulness, and compassion practices ground me, wherever I may be.
