About My Clients
I typically see clients that are struggling with managing their depression, grief and/or anxiety symptoms. I also see clients that are navigating difficult life stressors or adjustments. I see clients that are seeking positive personal change and clients that are ready to do the necessary work in efforts to become their best self.
My Background and Approach
Collectively, I have more than 10 years of experience working with children, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations. I have practiced in various areas including Healthcare, Hospice and Palliative Care, Corrections, Addictions and Education as well as Inpatient and Outpatient Psychiatric Care. As a Medical and Hospice Social Worker and a Mental Health Professional, I specialize in areas of grief/loss, depression, suicide, anxiety, end of life and emotional stressors related to physical health issues. Culturally competent and trauma informed, I have the skills and expertise to assist individuals in overcoming personal and life challenges. As a psychotherapist, I utilize evidence-based and client centered interventions in my practice to assist individuals with improving their psychological and emotional well-being. My goal is to provide clients with a safe and empathetic space to promote personal growth and quality of life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My vision, as a clinician, is to facilitate positive change in the lives of individuals. My work is fueled by my passion to reduce the prevalence of suicide in my community, through education, prevention, advocacy and therapy. I believe that your mental health is just as important as your physical health. Life is too short to live with regrets or burdens. Every individual is worthy and deserves to live a happy and healthy life.
