About My Clients
As an individual, you may be navigating a life transition, relationship issues, grief, trauma, or work/life balance. As a couple, you may be hoping to reconnect, improve communication, or determine what the future of your relationship may hold. Our ideal clients will be curious, motivated, and open to deeper introspection. If you allow your work in therapy to continue outside of our sessions, you will be more likely to experience the results you’re hoping to achieve.
My Background and Approach
Jenn Reynolds is the owner of Birches Counseling and worked closely with both Kristin Rainey and Dylan Mackie-Hernandez in community mental health prior to opening private practice. As experienced mental health providers, Jenn has been in the field for 13 years, and Kristin and Dylan for over 8 years. All three are Licensed Professional Counselors in Colorado. Jenn Reynolds specializes in relationship issues, including couples work, and life transitions. She approaches therapy with mindfulness at its roots, promoting self-compassion and self-trust. Kristin Rainey specializes in grief, trauma and life transitions and has advanced trainings in both grief work and EMDR. She provides a very supportive and encouraging approach in her sessions. Dylan Mackie-Hernandez specializes in working with clients who identify as perfectionists or people-pleasers, are prone to over-thinking, are high-achieving and more logical than emotional. Her approach is investigative, analytical and compassionate.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We offer both Telehealth and in-person sessions in our office in Cap Hill in Denver, and offer flexible scheduling. We are passionate about supporting adults on the journey through this wild thing called life! We're committed to inclusivity and diversity and provide a safe space for you to be uniquely you. While we are here to offer our views, where applicable, and ideas toward improvement, we also believe that you hold answers within yourself and have the goal of empowering you to access these. On a personal note, we are all lovers of animals, the outdoors, and traveling.
