Caring is at the heart of nursing. It is important that we care for ourselves and each other. Sometimes we feel alone, even when we are working as part of a team. It helps to take time to process the extraordinary stressors experienced in personal circumstances and in employment settings. Often, an individual does not stop experiencing trauma, following a traumatic event. We are not immune to feeling the impact of childhood experiences, relationship conflicts, family stresses, mood difficulties, and worries.
