About My Clients

I invite all identities and fluidities into this space- ESPECIALLY those who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and/or those who are seeking gender affirming care. I would love to support you and be witness to your journey towards healing, growth, and transformation. I openly invite all parts of yourself into the room, including your culture, your inherent wisdom, and sacred traditions.

My Background and Approach

I focus on the interconnections of body, mind, and spirit and believe all parts of the Self need to be seen and honored in order to heal. Our body, mind, and spirit carries our trauma and stress and also our strength and resiliency. I look at transgenerational patterns, family dynamics, and childhood experiences to see their impact on our present day. I use family-systems theory and transgenerational healing by incorporating genograms, story-telling (narrative therapy), inner-child work, and ancestral work. I may also use creativity and art as an alternative tool to non-verbal processing, especially with topics related to trauma and spirituality. I am a holistic and relational therapist. Depending on your needs and preferences, therapy with me can be flexible and process-focused or it can be structured and integrate Evidence Based Practices such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Strength-Based Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My approach is centered around anti-oppression, anti-racist, and anti-pathologizing values. Personal identities I hold close are being femme, Latina, bilingual, and bicultural. I’m a first-generation graduate with parents who immigrated from Mexico and I grew up learning both Latinx and American values while trying to align them authentically with my identity. I was raised in a religious home and was the first person in my family to come-out. This experience taught me hard truths about spiritual trauma and eventually spiritual reconnection and liberation. I deeply honor and appreciate the teachings of Decolonization and I see this practice as a radical act of resistance and healing. I am especially passionate about spiritual nourishment and supporting the journey of those who are reconnecting with Self.
