About My Clients

Do you feel that there are times when you are worried, but not sure what you are worried about? Do you feel that there are days when you are sad, but have nothing to be sad about? Do you have traumatic wounds that have not fully healed and have hurt some aspects of your life or relationships? I have seen these before and know how to help. Depression, anxiety, and trauma can be healed. As we work together, through time, we can overcome these feelings and the heal the memories of the past.

My Background and Approach

I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Northeastern Illinois University. During my time at Northeastern Illinois University, I was tasked with conducting extensive research on the use of Military Simulation activities as a coping tool for Veterans with PTSD. (2016) I have received my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University and works at a community mental health center in Chicago, as a crisis worker, in addition to meeting with clients at The Lighthouse. (2019 - Present) I specialize in Motivational Interviewing, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Reality-Choice Therapy. Together, we can discover what are your motivations behind your actions, help understand your emotions and feelings, and finally help you figure out that are your choices with the reality presented in front of you while assessing all the pros and cons of every door open to you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that all clients have the power to overcome their trouble, but need the tools to learn how to cope. Without these tools, I feel that people will endure issues with their mental health that eventually can lead to physical issues. Growing up I had difficulty dealing with anxiety and trauma, but I have realized that through will power, patience, self-care, and learning new coping techniques, I allowed myself to overcome my past and strengthened my mental health. I try very hard to provide a warm and welcoming environment while trying to be the one thing that ever client wants in a therapist... a human being. I will be sensitive to your topic of discussion and will never judge you for being who you are.
