About My Clients
They are amazing and resilient folks who sometimes can't prioritize their own needs. Their past is full of heartache, even from loved ones. Big things have happened. Maybe awhile ago, or maybe they are still happening. My clients are often late-diagnoses (after 12 yo) autistic folks and ADHDers, those who have childhood trauma, and those managing a chronic illness. They carry heavy burdens so we do not just talk, we use other strategies!
My Background and Approach
Your comfort is key! Being down-to-earth and approachable is at my core. The heart of our struggles are often embedded in relationships, so I focus on relational healing. Sure, we'll talk but I will also offer EMDR and other somatic approaches that focus on your unique experiences in life. I'm now offering Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy too in collaboration with Journey Clinical (having completed a 10 month training program through Integrative Psychiatry Institute and a 10 hr Fluency training).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
CONNECTION!! You gotta feel safe to learn, try new things and admit your struggles. At the core of my work is a recognition that trauma impacts all of us differently so I approach my clients with a sense of respect and curiosity so that we can learn together through the work. I recognize the goal of perfection as a tool of White Supremacy, and believe in embracing and learning from mistakes. In this spirit, I have a daily practice of unpacking my own biases and prejudices so I can better support those around me.
