About My Clients

Are you in a period of forced or intentional transition? Or perhaps you find yourself with feelings of sadness, anxiety, insecurity, or even a lack of understanding of what you are feeling in general. If unchecked, these feelings or just responding to the "new" in your life can cause relational problems, work issues, health problems or even added stress you simply don't need. You don't have to figure it out on your own. Allow me to collaborate with you to find your way out of this fog.

My Background and Approach

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Hampton University (2011), followed by a Master’s of Science degree in Counseling Psychology with a certification in the Contemporary Theories of Mental Health Services (2017). Currently I have over three years of experience working with diverse populations in terms of age, socioeconomic status, education, ethnicity, and ability. I am constantly acquiring new skills that allow me to be a more effective clinician because being of service to others is one of my greatest passions.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a clinician and human being like you, I wear a lot of different hats; single mother, woman, divorcee, survivor, breadwinner, etc. I know life stretches us to our limits, ebbing and flowing, to allow for the amazingly sweet and the harsh bitter. In those latter moments, it can be isolating & hopeless. Having had my own experiences with a lot more bitter than sweet throughout my life, I never want anyone else to believe the lies those moments tell about us. "You are alone.", "You are not enough.", "You can't change.", "Your experience doesn't matter.", and "This is just how my life is.", are common thoughts thrusted upon us in times of trouble, especially on the cusp of change. I believe in these moments the best work can be done. Through an eclectic therapeutic approach, the incorporation of your strengths and coping mechanisms, we can work together to accomplish change & push passed internal resistance. Sometimes in life we need a team to win; allow me to be apart of your team.

I have experience with the following
  • Agnosticism
  • Atheism
  • Christianity
  • Hinduism
  • Islam
  • Jehovah's Witnesses
  • Judaism
