About My Clients

I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families that are facing the challenges of addiction and recovery, shame and guilt, and the blending of step-families. My therapeutic passions include helping first-generation Americans find a balance between cultural identities, traditions, and their multicultural relationships. Additionally, I am interested in helping individuals who feel overwhelmed by the effects that climate change has on their mental state and daily lives.

My Background and Approach

I aim to help you make sense of your story and to see the big picture of patterns throughout your life. I work with you to identify the experiences and beliefs that have helped you so far and ask, "Are these helping me today or holding me back?". We will work together to create meaning in your life and a plan for how you can create change for yourself. No matter the underlying issues of anxiety, depression, addiction, shame, attachment, abandonment - we will gain an understanding of how these issues affect your emotions, physical body responses, and relationships. Then, together we can rewrite the way these issues affect your whole mind, body, and spirit.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Creativity, compassion, and connection are my top values to live by professionally and personally. I strive to be authentic in our work together, just as I ask my clients to be. I believe identifying and honoring our values every day is a big part of the growth in our relationships with ourselves and others. I am a whole hearted believer that we are all capable of change at any time but we are often pulled down by the heavy weight of our shame and trauma. I am passionate about social and racial justice. I work to continually open my mind and heart to learning how my role in society has affected those around me traditionally marginalized by those in power. I recognize my privilege as a white woman in society and all the benefits it has granted me. One of my goals in therapy is to use my place in the world to help lift YOU up to be the best you can be.
