About My Clients
My style of therapy works well with people who skew introverted, who feel like they've tried other approaches and want to try something else, who feel misunderstood by others, who seek better ways to feel seen and heard by other people and perhaps even by themselves.
My Background and Approach
My specialty is working to help people heal from complex trauma. I specialize in parts work and helping people better understand how to work with their dissociative abilities. This includes raising curiosity around the subjects of trauma, mood and body related symptoms, and memories related to the most tender and precious aspects of childhood. I believe taking a parts-based approach offers the best tools to build safety, increase resourcing, and decrease habitual patterns of unwelcome thoughts and behaviors when addressing trauma related symptoms. My goal is to help you develop a greater understanding of your most resilient sense of self.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Clients have described my style as compassionate, science-based, creative, warm and authentic. I am feminist in my approach and an ally to LGBTQIA+ communities and People of Culture. In my down time, I love checking out live performance (theatre and music especially), I love wandering about in nature, and I'm a sucker for a good art film. I think pets make teletherapy even better.
