About My Clients

I will help you to move forward by creating a trusting and safe environment in which you can explore your feelings, understand how your past influences your present and begin living a more positive and productive life.
My Background and Approach
My work is rooted in psychodynamic principles. By exploring past experiences we can understand how these may be influencing the present. I work with clients to increase insight, let go of old patterns, and make clearer and healthier choices in the future. I utilize CBT techniques to improve coping skills and self-efficacy. Using a strength-based approach, I help clients develop intrinsic motivation and personal growth which helps them to lead a more fulfilling and meaningful life. I have been in the field of behavioral health for over 20 years and had the privilege of working in a variety of both inpatient and outpatient settings.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that emotional growth and the ability to change is an intrinsic quality we all possess. What is not always clear is how to get to a place where we feel a sense of excitement and contentment with our lives and relationships. A place where fear is not the driver, where past negative events don't dictate how we interact with others and view the world; when we come from a place of strength, clearly understanding our past and from a place of empathy and self-love, our world becomes more open and positive.
