About My Clients
I work specifically with adults struggling with sex-related issues. These include, but are not limited to: intimacy issues in relationships; lack of sexual education in young adulthood; infidelity; sexual dysfunction; couples in ethical non-monogamous relationships looking for guidance with communication or other relationships; and individuals who are in the kink, BDSM, or sex-work communities and would like informed therapeutic care. My practice specializes in women's sexual health and couples.
My Background and Approach
As a social worker, my approach to therapy is informed by the client’s needs, meeting the client where they are in their process with therapy, and encouraging clients to share and build rapport at their own pace. We may discuss cognitive behavioral or dialectical behavioral techniques, and mindfulness techniques to achieve goals. I am currently working toward sex therapist certification from the Sexual Health Alliance that meets the requirements of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT), of which I am a member.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a sex-positive therapist, a National Coalition for Sexual Freedom (NCSF) Kink-Aware Professional, and I am sex work affirming. I believe that everyone can benefit from an empathetic, trained listener, and I truly enjoy working with people in every stage of their relationship with therapy.
