About My Clients

Are you feeling overwhelmed? Depressed? Anxious? Are you ready for change? If so, I want to help! One of my main specialties is gender affirming care, in which a safe space is offered to explore and better understand gender identity and expression, and ways to live authentically and wholeheartedly. Other therapeutic focuses include sexual orientation; authenticity, connection, and shame-resilience; self-esteem and self-image; and trauma and life stressors.

My Background and Approach

In addition to LGBTQ* affirming care, my work as a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator helps me better support my clients around topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness, and this work invites them to examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are holding them back and identify the new choices and practices that will move them toward more authentic and wholehearted living. The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing daily practices that transform the way we live, love, parent, and lead. In 2012, I was trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to provide evidence-based treatment for children and adolescents impacted by trauma. In 2016, I became a Life is Good Playmaker, to further help children heal from the impact of early childhood trauma. In 2019, I continued training in treatment for trauma and stressors through completion of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I have always possessed a passion and drive for helping individuals achieve positive changes in their lives, along with a commitment to social justice and human rights. I have a wide spectrum of experiences, including working with individuals, couples, families, and groups, throughout the life span, and in a variety of settings, and my work has always been devoted to decreasing stressors, and increasing quality of life.
