About My Clients

You are ready to celebrate the full you. You dream of moving beyond whatever is keeping you stuck in unhealthy patterns. You are tired of trying to fit into a world that was not designed for you. You want to respond instead of react, improve your connection to others, and be grounded in your body. Even when some areas of your life are going okay, things still feel hard. You may have tried therapy many times before but it never seems "to work" and you are ready to try something new.

My Background and Approach

I received a Master's degree in Social Work from SUNY Albany in 2015. Prior to graduate school, I worked as a case manager, organic farmer, and environmental educator. I utilize therapeutic techniques that focus on you as a whole person, rather than just a label or symptom. I believe that understanding a person's whole self is essential to creating a healthy, non-judgmental client-therapist relationship. I have post-graduate training in Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems, neurodivergence/Autistic burnout, and the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP). I am also certified in perinatal mental health and am passionate about working with individuals navigating the difficult journey of becoming and being a parent. My approach is dynamic and personalized to foster a safe therapeutic space. In addition to traditional "talk therapy," I also integrate creative arts activities, mindfulness, parts work, EMDR, SSP, and somatic trauma-informed approaches.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am proudly an out Queer neurodivergent therapist. I have extensive experience working with Queer and Autistic individuals from a neurodiversity-affirming perspective. Because trauma, shame, and oppression are so often intertwined, I hold social justice at the center of my therapeutic practice. I approach therapy through an intersectional feminist lens that actively seeks to name the ways in which systemic biases have had a detrimental impact on your life. I have signed the Health at Every Size and GALAP pledges and am available to provide free gender-affirming letters as needed. I am currently accepting New York-based clients for both in-person and telehealth individual therapy. My in-person office is located in Stone Ridge, NY.
