About My Clients
My ideal clients...well, there's no real ideal client. I love working with people who also want to work on themselves. I want to help my clients on their journey to self-growth and development by providing a safe space for them to express themselves and be themselves. For me, the connection between the therapist and client is paramount. I want to meet my clients where they are at and encourage them to see their own potential.
My Background and Approach
I believe in a holistic approach to healthcare. I think no single therapeutic intervention will be beneficial for every client. I have been trained in various evidence-based modalities such as; Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Gestalt Play Therapy, to name a few. I have experience working with all ages ranging from 5 years old to 89 years old conducting individual, group, and family therapy. I have experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, Bipolar, grief and loss, substance abuse,, relationship issues, family conflict, self-confidence, etc.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that growth and change are inevitable if we choose to learn from our experiences. The journey to self-growth and development is not easy, but that does not meant it is not worth the effort. Remember the old saying, "Sometimes, we got to work hard for what we really want." Do not be discouraged if you do not see results right away. Remember that change happens over time, not overnight. As a therapist, I am here to help my clients in a positive way. Therapy is supposed to be a positive experience, even though we may be talking about some uncomfortable things. I am not here to judge my clients. I am here to help you with whatever goal/s you have. If you do not have any specific goals, sometimes, it is therapeutic just to talk in a non-judgmental environment. I hope to work with you all soon.
