About My Clients
My clients range from a 5 year old struggling with big feelings to a 25 year old unsure about their place in this world. Feelings of sadness, loneliness, nervousness, or even numbness can feel overwhelming. Even in these feelings, you are not alone, and there is a path forward. I also offer group therapy for girls grades 6-8 and 9-12 to build social skills, process adversities, and develop meaningful relationships.
My Background and Approach
My primary focus is meeting every client’s need to be seen, valued, and heard. I believe first and foremost in establishing a positive relationship and from there continuing to meet needs as continued levels of respect and trust are established. It is my goal to meet someone where they are at, and therefore different techniques will be helpful for different people. There are times where direct, actionable steps are appropriate, and there are times when what you really need is to sit and process your feelings. I can help navigate these things with you and give you the tools to go forward confidently. I received my Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California and specialized in providing services for Children, Youth, and Families as well as additional training for the school environment. I am registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Clinical Social Worker #106399 and have my Pupil Personnel Services Credential.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that our experiences have the power to shape us into who we are, but that our experiences to not need to define us. As we grow and develop, the way we see the world and ourselves within that word changes. While that can be confusing, it often provides us with the opportunity to truly come into our own, discover ourselves and our passions, and follow those passions as far as we dare. I know that healing takes work, and at times can be difficult, but I am ready to support you through that process and to provide the space and structure you need to best meet your goals.
