I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Master's degrees in Social Work and Public Health. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina for 7 years. Throughout my education, trainings and career experiences, I have worked with adults, adolescents and children in treatment of trauma, depression and anxiety as well as on issues in relationships and family dynamics. I have tailored my education and training around women's and gender issues and appreciate the anti-oppressive nature of feminist theory. In therapy I take a holistic, collaborative approach to encourage balance and overall health as much as possible. I often use techniques rooted in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness among others.
