Using grounding techniques and mindfulness skills, it’s possible to greatly decrease these symptoms and get control of your thoughts and emotions. I will help you identify barriers and gain tools needed to manage anxiety symptoms.
CBT is the primary focus that I utilize because it can be affective for numerous mental health issues. It essentially revolves around how our thoughts, feelings and actions are all connecting and how we can be intentional about taking control of each area. This approach is very beneficial because it entails a lot of exploring, questioning and analyzing of ones self.
I utilize DBT when individuals experience depression, trauma, PTSD and similar issues. I believe that using this approach allows individuals to get closer to acceptance of the fact that two opposite things, feelings, or situations can exist in the same space. This is important when overcoming symptoms of depression, trauma and PTSD.
I use motivational interviewing to help client explore issues they’re are facing and working through ways of changing negative behaviors. Making positive and necessary change is key to taking control of one’s life and motivational interviewing can help you identify barriers and ways to overcome them.
