About My Clients
My ideal client would be a person committed to empowering themselves, through developing self-awareness and control. I consider myself to be a partner/guide/cheerleader for my clients and focus on supporting their journey. I offer encouragement and the development of healthy boundaries. My clients' concerns have included Depression, Anxiety, Mood disorders, Life Transitions and Women's Issues.
My Background and Approach
I graduated from Wake Forest University with a BA in Psychology. I received a MA in Professional Counseling from Argosy University. For 9 years I worked with the GA Dept of Corrections in a Women's Transitional Center and then in the main State Prison in Atlanta. For the past 8 years I have been in Private Practice, working with clients individually and with couples. My experiences have allowed me to develop skills to be effective treating severe mental illness as well as day to day living issues.
