Depression is often accompanied by additional issues such as stress, anxiety, panic, and other indicators that try to inform us that something in our lives is no longer working. Through the narrative of depression and it’s affiliated issues, we’ll explore the factors that have contributed to your current struggles and what in your narrative is ready to change to create a new narrative that helps you thrive.
I have experience treating various degrees of PTSD and have a thorough understanding of the trauma spectrum. Whether trauma has occurred due to a history of abuse, domestic violence, developmental events in childhood, intergenerational trauma, immigration/acculturation trauma, or single trauma events, the process to healing a trauma narrative is highly personal and requires a holistic approach to nourish the whole person: body, mind, and heart.
Codependency struggles are intimately related to attachment styles and self-esteem. Often a byproduct of family dynamics and childhood experiences, codependency can create crippling effects if left untreated. The client-therapist relationship can change unhealthy attachment styles and poor self-esteem through the therapeutic process of modeling and practicing nourishing alternatives, healing old patterns and creating positive outcomes.
I’ve been studying mindfulness in the form of yoga, meditation, and breathwork for over 15 years. I’m a certified yoga instructor and incorporate mindfulness practices as a holistic approach to supporting mental health. Incorporating somatic therapies such as yoga, intuitive movement, and breathwork into mindfulness practices creates extensive benefits to overall mental health.

I specialized in trauma informed-care working at a trauma center for five years. During this time I worked under the mentorship of an esteemed clinical supervisor understanding the intricacies of trauma processing and healing. I continue to develop my professional knowledge of trauma care and interventions through yearly educational events and seek to apply a trauma informed-lens to all the support services I provide.
I received extensive training in CBT interventions in my master level clinical studies and have continued to study this method throughout my professional career. Through the years I’ve expanded the application of CBT to integrate body-based therapies, to weave a holistic approach that incorporates important emotional and physical elements into the cognitive-behavioral context. When incorporated with other holistic therapies, CBT creates a truly transformative process.
