As a mom myself and as a clinician specializing in perinatal mental health (including pregnancy, postpartum and parenting) I understand the enormous pressure women are under to be the "perfect parent" the "perfect partner" and to appear to have it "all together." I understand this pressure is unrealistic, harmful and often leads to feels of internal resentment, guilt and burn out. I am passionate about working with clients to explore all of their feelings and experiences and to increase self compassion and identity. I work with clients to dig deep into their own experience with their families to identify intergenerational impacts and familial patterns in order to increase insight and empathy. I meet clients where they are and provide consistent, compassionate and meaningful support.
I am a mom of two myself, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and passionate about working with women who are pregnant, recently postpartum, or parents of young children. I know first hand and professionally how beneficial therapy can be in helping uncover root causes of unwanted feelings and actions, as well as building helpful and practical coping skills that can be life changing in managing the challenges, stress and pressure of motherhood. I have over 8 years of experience working with individuals, couples and families in a clinical setting. Since then I have worked with several different client populations and have found my passion working with pregnant, postpartum and parents of young children. I use a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, and Strength Based Approach to ensure each session is meaningful, helpful and supportive.
