About My Clients
Are you aware of how your past is impacting your present? If you feel spontaneously enraged or frightened, notice a strong urge to run away when things get hard, or speak to yourself harshly - it's likely due to trauma. You may be getting triggered and your trauma responses are taking over. We can work together in therapy to identify your triggers, practice coping skills, and find healing. I look forward to walking beside you on your journey to your most true and healthy self.
My Background and Approach
I approach the therapy space with authenticity to be my genuine self and give my clients permission to do the same. All parts of you are welcome: the mess, the imperfections, the strengths, and the areas that have room for growth. You'll hear me use person centered language so you feel seen nd heard. I'll gently challenge your maladaptive thinking while validating your experiences and hardships. We'll practice skills to help you live the life you want and desire. The therapeutic relationship is the most important factor in therapy, and I will therefore "meet" you where you are.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in healing, in love, in nature, in community, and in being human with all of its complexities. I volunteer at a crisis text line because I know how hard things can get. Living is not always easy, but it can be meaningful. Most people are just out here doing their best. But what if our best can be a little bit better? And it can be - when we have the right support, the right tools, and self-compassion. Therapy makes us all a little better.
