About My Clients
Are you always on edge or feeling like you're about to snap? Do you feel cut off from the people you love? Is your body sore, tight, and achy? Do you feel like an outsider in your family or community? Do you spend time mentally reliving the past at the expense of being in the present? Do you just feel "off"? So many clients come to me because they are tired of struggling and need a safe place to land.
My Background and Approach
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a crisis line specialist for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and as a sexual assault victim's advocate, working with folks at some of the worst points of their lives. I consider it an honor to be with someone in the thick of their suffering and provide a warm and caring space to heal. I work as a guide, walking beside you on your journey and observing what is on the path and which directions we can take. You will be the one to decide what you want, and I will be there to support your development. I believe that self-compassion is the foundation for successful therapy and will be a crucial component of treatment. Together, we will work to create radical changes by fostering a strong therapeutic alliance, assessing what changes need to be made, collaborating on the best course of action, and evaluating the progress made.
